The T-shaped ruler features a series of precision-machined index holes and spring-loaded, close-tolerance indexing pins. The pin snaps into place for accurate positioning. The thin satin-finished stainless steel blade is designed for readability and to minimize parallax errors.

There is a notch every sixteen inches on the blade. Simply place a pencil in the notch and slide the head along the edge of the stock to create a parallel line.
